What I do with TFC: I get to be an instructor at Ambassador.

B.A. Political Science - Wheaton College, Wheaton, Illinois
M.Div. - Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deefield, Illinois

What I enjoy most about TFC: Having the opportunity to exercise the gift of teaching is perhaps the most satisfying part of my being here at TFC.

My Testimony:
I was born into a Christian family and was led to the Lord in 1953, when I was 7 years of age, by my Mother. During Special Services at Wheaton College in 1967, Dr. Francis Schaeffer challenged the whole student body at Wheaton College to seriously address the Lordship of Jesus Christ in our lives. It was at that time that I was able to see the need I had beyond Jesus being my Saviour. During my time at Wheaton, I had a sense that God was calling me into the ministry, and I applied to Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. I graduated there in 1971, and was called to be a Youth Pastor at a large Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. While I was there, I married Cheryl Langford in 1973, and was ordained there in 1975. We then received a call to a congregation in Ellsworth, Wisconsin, and I served there as a solo pastor for 26 years. I resigned there in 2001, and taught as a substitute at the public school system until I was ilnvited to TFC in 2008.

Favorite Verse: I John 1:9 is my favorite verse because forgiveness is so important for me.

My view of God: That One Who has given me of His grace and mercy to draw me into His Kingdom. He has forgiven me and placed His imprimatur of blessing for eternity. In His Son, Jesus, I am a new creation constantly in need of renewal and forgiveness, but who has been clothed in His robes of righteousness. Without Him I am nothing. He has gifted me with eternal life and blessed me with a wonderful wife and two sons, two daughters-in-law, one granddaughter and one grandson. He has provided for and protected me throughout my whole life, and I owe everything to Him.

A Long-term Prayer Request: That I never take for granted what He has done for and with me.
